I'm all moved in down here, and I'm really enjoying it so far. Larry's my roommate for those of you who didn't know. We're getting along pretty well so far. Sarah T. moved in yesterday, and I promptly stopped by her place, w/ Imo's in my hand since i'd just got back from edwardsville, lol. Ryan(a friend of mine from Wood River) lives a block over like Sarah does. I've met a couple of really cool neighbors so far. Megan and Brian are a couple that Larry met before we moved down here....we see them almost everyday, lol. So fun. Yesterday I was doing laundry and I met Shane, who lives 2 buildings over....HE HAS A PUG NAMED OTIS!!!! AHHHH!!!! I told him if he ever needs someone to take care his dog....I'm that someone, lol. Classes start on Monday, I'm excited....it'll be nice to be busy for once. not sitting around all day waiting to go to work. I turn 21 in 8 days.....YES! finally. Well that's about all for now. I'm going to watch some TV and throw on some red/khaki in about 2 hours. lol.

Australian Nuclear Holocausts Rule! (well, books about them anyway) Current mood: hopeful
That's right. I'm in the process of reading one of my favorite books for the 3rd time....On the Beach by Nevil Shute. It's about the last year of life for a cast of characters in Australia after a nuclear war happens in the Northern Hemisphere. I love this book because it's just so real, you feel as if this could've really happened.....it has elements of romanticism, but it doesn't stray too far into it....it possibly is a romantic view of the end of the world....grrr, i think I'm missing my english class right now....we'd discuss stuff like this every week. O well. Also, I am in love w/ one of the characters, she's just so sassy/fabulous....very reminicent of a Katharine Hepburn/Bette Davis type, and I love them. On to a lighter note.....happy 4th weekend! I have to work today (saturday) at 4pm then on sunday at 8:45...boo. The cool part about sunday.....I finally get to meet someone I've been looking forward to meeting for a long time. Let's cross our fingers it goes well....hopefully will report more on Monday. Also on Monday, I get to hang out w/ my mom's side of the family up at Gillespie Lake....I'm extremely excited about this....I don't see much of them, and my Uncle Mikie just inherited a boat. Fun times are gonna ensue. Well, I think that's enough rambling for 5:15 in the morning....off to read some more about the inevitibility of nuclear winter. Have a good weekend :)

Bunny Rabbits and Naps...all in all a successful monday
Happy post Pride monday! Hope everyone had a good weekend...i know mine was. After the epiphany of saturday night, sunday turned out to be quite a fun day. I woke up at noon, to discover Drew needed a ride down to the park...off to Kirkwood I went...mara(his little sis) came w/ us, I thought that was cool. I hung out w/ my lesbian and some of her friends for awhile, not to mention Double a-ron and some of our friends from high school. Sunday evening/night I had my friend Cassie from work in tow, as well as Trevor and Molly Ann. We went to Molly's for a little while, then on to faces. It was fun going w/ some people that don't normally go there all the time, and the show was amazing. All the entertainment was in top form...except for maybe the strip off (just not my cup of tea). I got home around 4 this morning, and woke up at 1 this afternoon, hehe. I've watched wimbledon/napped on and off all day, and now I'm waiting for Tyler/Siren to call me to come pick up a rabbit they found. It's going to be a surprise for my little brother. I already told the other little brother about it, and he's real excited now :) I LOVE LOVE LOVE days like today...so lazy and fabulous...tomorrow I have to will myself to get up and actually start putting things in boxes though, lol. grrr. have a good evening everyone :)

New Dad Drama! Current mood: angry
So my dad has decided it's in his best interest to buy a house. This decision comes about a week after he tells me he can't help me completely with school (like he promised). He thinks it's crap I don't have a ton of money laying around...i dunno i guess he thinks i'm lying to him....you know what? except for food/a place to sleep/school i've been paying my own way since he left the house...this includes car maitnenance/insurance, toiletries, etc. He wrote my mom an email about all of this....then proceeded to say that he's already done a ton of stuff for me, like buy me this laptop....I never asked for a laptop. Here's the kicker.....my aunt (who's going thru her own divorce) is going to live w/ him...just like she did in his apartment....cuz and i quote from the email sent to my mom "she's not ready to be on her own" Mind you: she works full time, she's been married, she's part owner of a home (w/ her ex husband). Dad really has his priorities straight. I'm glad he cares about his sister more than his own son.
| I've been neglecting my xanga lately.....i've been posting on myspace....so here's a bit to catch everyone up....i'm gonna put my last 3 on here right now.
